My name is Jenn. Also known as J3NN, Bakemealie, Fashionfierce or "that girl who made the Diablo III Dress."
Some time ago, I was shopping when I came across these awesome Diablo III T-shirts. Being someone who had been playing the game obsessively for weeks, I knew this shirt had to be mine. Well, I searched the store, asked the employees, even checked the online store and it turns out the only T-Shirt they had in stock was the one in my hands--unfortunately, it was a size XXL.
Reluctant to drop my T-Shirt (which was beginning to feel like a rare item), I held it up to myself in a mirror, and noted the length. I exclaimed that this shirt would be a dress if I were to put it on, and then it occurred to me... why not make it a dress? I am a fashion design student, after all... even if I hadn't wanted to look at a sewing machine since school let out.
Anyways, so I created this dress and someone suggested to me to post it to Reddit. So, thinking not much of it, I made a Reddit account, took a fast picture with photobooth and put it up. I saw a few people comment about "karma whoring" and at the time I had no idea what "karma" was even referring to, so I looked that up, decided that the internet is mean and didn't like my picture, and I went to bed.
The next morning I awoke to my picture on the front page of r/gaming with over 600 comments. Don't get me wrong, they were not all good comments, but took me by surprise nonetheless. (Here is the photo:)
I immediately regretted taking such a low-quality picture and posted a new set of pictures, which did not get much response in r/gaming, but started quite a controversy in r/girlgamers. It seems that a lot of gamers don't quite understand the world of fashion. And I know for a fact that the majority of fashion people know nothing about gaming. (Here is one of the second pictures I submitted:)
So, inspired by this situation, I have decided to continue with my efforts of uniting the worlds of fashion and gaming together! Who's with me?????

well, i like girls, and gaming (though i think im better at designing them than playing them, erk) so im up for the words girls and games being together more haha
